To the left is Fleet Butland, and to the right, Keith Ferris and Jim Benney, probably taken some time in the 1980s. Here they are shown shifting a fin-keeled boat onto a steel plate, which would then be shackled onto a winch worked off the back of an old Fordson tractor, and pulled up the beach onto the Bar. Back power was and still is a common way of working with boats in a traditional boatyard.
